AJ was born in Glasgow in 1958 and is well established in the world of art. He has dabbled with various subjects and styles in the past but has recently concentrated on photorealism - a style close to his heart.
Working with acylics and oils he strives to recreate as faithfully as possible the subject in hand. For each still life he painstakingly sets up the scene with the ideal lighting and photographs the work for several pieces in advance.
