Antonio Garcia, known in the art world as “Puerto”, was born in Benidorm, Spain in 1957. He belongs to a family dedicated to art. His father, Jorge, was teacher in the Fine Art School in Alicante and taught his passion for the art to Antonio since he was very young. Antonio finished his studies in the prestigious San Carlos Fine Art School in Valencia. When he finished his studies he started to work with the local famous artist Vicente Cerda for 8 years. There he discovered that seascapes was his favourite subject. Since then, he has taken part in several collective exhibitions from 1995 to 1999. As a Mediterranean man, he loves the sea and this is the main subject although also can paint figures and landscapes. His paintings can be found in private and public collection around the world, especially in USA, South America and Arab countries. Following the tradition of the Spanish artists, his paintings can be found signed with different pseudonyms, such as Garcia Soler, Antonio Garcia, Puerto, Antony Grant.
